An ex-pat returns home; finds a disturbing state of affairs (via the American Thinker)

My response to Marcus and all the ex-pats who are now looking aghast at what they see:

Welcome “Home” Marcus, and all the other expats that are still reeling at what they see. I never left, but share your sorrow and grief on a daily basis. Yes, it’s been happening incrementally over the past forty years, but it seems like it went into overdrive in 2008. My initial curiosity about Obama was satisfied when I watched his campaign speech in Selma, AL on 3/4/2007 to commemorate the anniversary of “Bloody Sunday, “March 7, 1965. His speech was mesmerizing, and I even sort of got “a tingle” (though not up my leg) when I heard him go into the “Joshua generation” phase of the speech. The part that particularly struck me was his explicit claim to be “coming home” to Selma…

“…So the Kennedy’s decided we’re going to do an air lift. We’re going to go to Africa and start bringing young Africans over to this country and give them scholarships to study so they can learn what a wonderful country America is.

This young man named Barack Obama got one of those tickets and came over to this country. He met this woman whose great great-great-great-grandfather had owned slaves; but she had a good idea there was some craziness going on because they looked at each other and they decided that we know that the world as it has been it might not be possible for us to get together and have a child. There was something stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma, Alabama, because some folks are willing to march across a bridge. So they got together and Barack Obama Jr. was born. So don’t tell me I don’t have a claim on Selma, Alabama. Don’t tell me I’m not coming home to Selma, Alabama…”

A few hours later, I noticed someone on a blog site mentioning that Barak Obama’s birthday preceded the “Bloody Sunday” March on the Bridge in Selma by a a few years. His birthday, 8/4/1961. The march on Selma, 3/7/1965. Then I found out that his father was actually flown over here to study by President Dwight D. Eisenhower! I knew at that moment that we were in for a big mess. I watched in horror as the Lamestream Media covered for him and his outright lies time and again. I watched the lemmings (now referred to as Obamabots), become in thrall to his TelePrompter Oratory. A numbing sense of disbelief turned into shock and horror as the election came and went. On inauguration day, I was en route to work. I can still remember sitting at a stop light when the radio broke in to the live event. I began to cry as a feeling of grief overwhelmed me. I saw so much misery coming down the road for this country that there was nothing else I could do but cry. No wanting to participate in this “historic” event, I turned the dial to AM Disney and listened to Elvin and the Chipmunks and similar pre-pubescent pop music the rest of the way to work.

And the misery has, indeed, come to fruition. Every day, this One-Man Human Wrecking Ball offends, dismantles, agitates, eviscerates, and otherwise ruins every thing that he can that made this country great. He offers his friends the spoils of others’ wealth; his enemies the back of his hand. He and his sycophants tear into every institution of this country and seize large chunks of it for themselves and their parasite dependents (like the “Mexican-American” student agitators about whom Marcus spoke). There seems to be no end in sight. However, what all you ex-pats may be missing is the story that has so far only reluctantly and begrudgingly begun to be told: The Tea Party Movement.

As you settle in to this Orwellian nightmare, you will see that there are many of us who are rising up in greater and greater numbers to resist and push back. If this nation is to be dragged into the Third World by this Tyrant and his fellow travellers, we are determined that it not be done quietly, without opposition. We will do it without the benefit of the Lamestream Media. We understood going into this that they were – and continue to be – our enemies and enemies of this country. We moved forward without their help. We fully understand the quote from Ghandi, “First they ignore you. Then you ridicule you. Then they fight you. Then you win.”

Don’t despair ex-pats! Join a Tea Party near you. They’ll be thrilled to have you on board. The political primary season is upon us and already there are signs that we’re moving in the right direction. You may see the gloom and doom that is out there, but the Lamestream Media and the “Powers That Be” are only now beginning to see the handwriting on the wall. I don’t know about you, but I’m speaking to friends, neighbors, coworkers, my doctor, and anyone else out there about the sad state of affairs. The level of passion and commitment to rolling back these Socialist Thugs is very, very intense. Your post, Marcus, tells me that you are looking for others who share your concerns. It’s called a Tea Party. With your help, and God’s blessing, we will prevail. The only way we’ll lose is if we stand by and do nothing.
